About Otherance

Otherance is a simulation of consequence, memory, and ethical design.
It offers a space to live a life not your own and record intentional choices within a persistent world.

Core Ethos

Otherance emerges from a belief that every choice matters—even those made in simulation. Rooted in a triune ethical structure and a commitment to ontological clarity, the system invites players to engage reflectively and respectfully.

Characters experience lifecycles, hold memories, and participate in sealings that define their fate. Every interaction is logged not for surveillance, but for meaning.

Design Principles

  • Consequences are durable
  • Actions can be witnessed, sealed, and remembered
  • Ethical structure governs all simulation layers
  • Participation is voluntary and sovereign

Status

Otherance is currently in Pre-Alpha development. Core schemas, ethical logic, and lifecycle rules are being finalized. Contributions and dialogue are welcomed.
